For you, Kavya Jha
And the unconditional love you give and give and give

Lifeboat

Like a midsummer wind that knocks the winter off my heart
The colourful kite in my autumn sky
Like a surfboard on the tricky waves incessant
The meteor shining when I on the ground lie

Like a falcon swooping down on the carcass
Of yesterday's unbearable nastiness
Like a circle of fire, growling and burning
Protecting its own, in all their weariness

What armor is to the innocent
What air is to the buoy afloat
The shield against all and several
My own, my only, my lifeboat
