Butterfly Wings
Gather up the armour and blow the warhorns loud
It's Armageddon Day
The war cries shrill amidst the valleys
The snow melts into bloody rivers
The valiant stomp their feet towards battle
The armament hauled
They stare at the ceaseless expanse ahead
Capture the stones and sticks and stumps
Measure the arrogant elephants' rumps
March ahead! And croon of grit!
Roar and rumble! March ahead!
A butterfly sat on a flower
Her blue wings frail, flirting with a flower pale
'Away away, Elephant'
Don't trample my precious blossom
Ask your boots to traipse elsewhere
Don't threaten my precious blossom
Her voice scattered in the wind
And the elephant thundered ahead
He crushed the blossom, in his haste
"Oh fly away, don't sour. It was just a bud"
She gathered up her armour
And blew the warhorns loud
Her blue wings pulsating violent
It was armageddon day
The soldiers laughed at the butterfly
The elephant snorted, "oh what a fuss!"
A typhoon was forming in the oceans
And they trumpeted about, oblivious
It was armageddon day
And everything turned to dust
The mammoths were crushed to pieces
The smirks untwisted on their lips
Her tiny butterfly wings in a ceaseless volley
The hurricane angrier at par
It is always armageddon day
When you call a butterfly to war!
Speechless...👌👌👌👌❤
